Optical & Clinic Team Member

West Nipissing Eyecare – Sturgeon Falls, Ontario
Full-Time or Part-Time | $21–$32/hour based on experience

West Nipissing Eyecare is looking for a friendly, professional, and motivated team member to join our growing optometry practice.

We are particularly interested in an experienced Optician / Office Coordinator, but we are also open to candidates with experience as an Optical Associate, Eyewear Consultant, Optical Technician, or Patient Services & Clinical Assistant.

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:

• Providing excellent patient service
• Scheduling and coordinating appointments
• Assisting with frame and lens selection, measurements, fittings, adjustments, and eyewear dispensing
• Ordering frames and lenses and managing optical inventory
• Processing billing and insurance claims
• Performing clinical pre-testing, visual fields, and OCT
• Supporting referrals, OHIP billing, and general office administration
• Helping maintain smooth daily clinic flow
• For experienced candidates: coordinating staff, vendors, optical operations, inventory, and other administrative responsibilities

We believe in cross-training and teamwork, providing opportunities to develop skills across both the clinical and optical sides of the practice.

Compensation

• Patient Services & Clinical Assistant / Optical Technician: $21–$26/hour → $43,000–$54,000/year
• Optician / Office Coordinator: $25–$32/hour → $52,000–$67,000/year

Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and responsibilities.

• Comfortable working in a busy healthcare/optical environment
• Optical, optometry, or healthcare experience is an asset
• Optician certification is an asset
• Bilingual English/French is an asset
