Position: Optician/Optometric Assistant

Do you want to work, learn, and grow in a close-knit team?  North Shore Optometry Clinic is seeking a friendly detail-oriented Optician to join our boutique Optometry practice.  Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional eye care and helping clients choose glasses in a welcoming, patient-centered environment. 

Responsibilities include:

·      Assisting patients in selecting and fitting eyewear that meets personal style and vision needs

·      Educating patients on lens options, coatings and frame care

·      Ordering and verifying lenses

·      Measuring, adjusting and repairing eyeglass frames

·      Collaborating with our Optometrist and other team members to ensure excellent patient experiences

·      Patient pre-testing with top-of-the-line optometric equipment

·      Support patient bookings, orders, payments, and other records

Qualifications:

·      Previous experience as an optician or in optical sales is ideal with preference given to those with knowledge of lens materials, coatings and current eyewear trends (or desire and drive to learn)

·      Excellent communication and customer service skills

·      Strong attention to detail

·      A professional demeanor and caring approach with people
